The design. We start with what you want people to see: a logo, a product, a message or a countdown. The show designer turns it into shapes and movement, and you sign off the animation before anything flies.
The permissions. A show over the river needs the airspace cleared and the Port of London Authority on board, and central London needs more besides. We handle the applications. Allow 8 to 12 weeks from booking to show night.
The river. The drones launch from a barge or boat we place on the river, with safety boats around it. Our skippers know the Thames, so the launch platform sits where the show needs it and holds there against the tide.
The night. The show runs to a plan agreed with the authorities. Drones cannot fly safely in strong wind or heavy rain, so we agree a back-up plan with you in advance.
The film. Our camera boat films the show from the water, with aerials where the airspace allows. Raw files follow within 48 hours, or the same night on request.
From £25,000 plus VAT for a 100-drone show. That includes the show design, the flying, the permissions, a barge or boat to launch from, safety boats and a film of the show. Bigger shows, up to 450 drones, are quoted to the design. PLA launches, restrictions on river traffic or policing, if the authorities ask for them, are charged at cost.
Allow 8 to 12 weeks. The airspace and river permissions take time, especially in central London, so the earlier you call the better.
A hundred drones draw a clear logo or message. More drones give you finer detail, bigger shapes and longer sequences, up to 450. We suggest a size once we know the design and where your audience will be watching from.
Drones cannot fly safely in strong wind or heavy rain. We agree a back-up plan with you in advance and make the call on the day.
A specialist light show team flies the show under its own CAA authorisation, working with our skippers and river crew. We plan and run the night as one job, so you deal with one team.
Yes, it is included. Our camera boat films it from the water, with aerials where the airspace allows.
