Superyachts on the Thames

Superyacht filming on the Thames

Arrivals up the river and through Tower Bridge, shoots at the berth and guests on the water. For owners, captains, yacht agencies and brokers, filmed from the water and the air.
Superyachts in London

An arrival worth filming

A superyacht coming up the Thames is one of the great sights of the river: past Greenwich and Canary Wharf, through Tower Bridge with the bascules raised, and on to a berth in the heart of the city. We film the arrival from a camera boat and from the air, then the yacht at the berth, and we can look after guests and crew on the water while she is in London.
How it works

Filming a yacht in London

Discretion. We film for the owner, the captain or their agency, and the footage goes only where they say. Nothing is posted or shared without their agreement.

The plan. We work to the captain’s passage plan and the pilot’s timings, and put our boats where they help rather than get in the way.

Tower Bridge. A vessel with a mast or superstructure of 30 feet or more needs a lift, booked at least 24 hours ahead. We plan the shot around the booked time and the tide.

From the air. The river through central London is close to restricted airspace, so aerials of an arrival are applied for in advance. Tell us the dates as soon as you have them.

Questions about superyacht filming

Yes. We plan the shot around the booked lift and the tide, with a camera boat on the water and aerials where the airspace allows.

Only with your agreement. We film for the owner, the captain or the agency, and the footage goes where you say.

Yes. We can provide boats and skippers for guests and crew while the yacht is in London.

As much as you can give, especially for aerials. A few days can work for filming from the water, and our long-standing airspace permissions across London mean drone shots can often be done at short notice too.
