Maritime filming in Hull
Hull’s port runs on the Humber’s tides: ferries to Rotterdam, cargo ships in the docks, blades for offshore wind farms made at Alexandra Dock and shipped out by sea, and the crew transfer boats, tugs and workboats that keep the estuary busy. Our skippers have worked in the Humber, and we film its ships and businesses from a camera boat, from the air and on board.
We bring the camera boat, the skipper, the camera and drone crew, and the permissions. Raw files arrive within 48 hours, or we cut the finished film.
Drones. Victoria Pier and The Deep are clear of restricted airspace. Next to Alexandra Dock, and within a kilometre of King George Dock, is HMP Hull’s drone restriction zone, where any flight needs the prison service’s permission, so we plan dock shots around it.
Need a boat for your own crew instead? See film boat hire here. More on filming for marine businesses.
Yes. We film blade shipments and the vessels that serve the wind farms, as well as crew transfer boats, tugs and workboats at work on the estuary.
